The site allows profiles to be posted and also has recommendations and appraisals so that you can get to know your host prior to arriving on their doorstep. I registered with Couchsurfers when I was having a year backpacking but have not yet done any surfing…this was almost 8 years ago when it was in it’s formative stages but now it has extended to literally MILLIONS of members…I will be making use of the site from now on.
