The Appalachian National Scenic Trail, or simply the Appalachian Trail is a marked hiking trail in the Eastern United States. It extends between Springer Mountain in Georgia and Mount Katahdin in Maine.

To finish the Appalachian trail, you need between 5 to 7 months. Completing the entire 2,190 miles of the trail is one big and large adventure and undertaking. Every year, thousands of hikers attempt a thru-hike. And one in four makes it all the way.
