Vivienne Westwood is a British fashion designer and businesswoman. She is responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream. She came to the public notice when she made clothes for Malcolm McLaren’s boutique in the King’s Road, which became known as SEX.
Considered one of the most unconventional and outspoken designers, Vivienne rose to fame in the late 1970s. Her early designed helped shape the look of the punk rock movement.
She makes a point of being an eco-friendly designer and company. She makes most of the products in Italy and England.
Next year, Vivienne will turn 80 years old. And she keeps on going. Westwood won British Designer of the Year a couple of times.
