Pirates of the Caribbean is one of the most successful movie franchises of all time. There are a total of five movies, each one better than the other.
And while the movie focuses on fictional characters, pirates were a real deal at one point in history. This documentary takes a look at events and tales of piracy that were supposed to happen during the Christopher Columbus era.
According to legends, these events transpired during Columbus landing in the West Indies during 1492. During that period, the land of Caribbean had attracted the attention of many, all of which mined plenty of riches out of the region.
