Uzbekistan is the central Asian country on the Silk road. It borders Kazakhstan to the north and Afghanistan to the south.
Cities like Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva are vital for the caravans on the Silk Road, allowing merchants to trade their goods and provide accommodation for visitors.

There are a lot of buildings in Uzbekistan that survived the trade that once generated. Samarkand, for example, is one of the world’s oldest cities.
