Frank Wenzlow is a man dedicated to making the last wishes of terminally ill people come true. He calls it “Make a Wish Trips” or Sternenfahrten – a journey to help the dying say their final farewells. Over the years, he has discovered that last wishes are as unique as the stars in the sky. Whether it’s one more trip to the seashore or a rock concert, Wenzlow and his team help terminally ill people live their dreams.
In this documentary, we follow the story of the daughter of Wenzlow’s very first passenger, Sylvia Neumann. In the final stages of cancer, Neumann embarks on an emotional journey, accompanied by her son and his fiancée, to revisit happy childhood memories in the town where her grandparents lived in Lower Saxony. This will be a touching and poignant portrayal of Frank Wenzlow’s life work and the people he has helped through his compassionate and kind-hearted gestures.
