Not many actors have had the chance and privilege to act in a same movie with Ser. Anthony Hopkins two times. Bart the Bear is one of those actors, and he is an unconventional actor in any way possible.
Bart is an iconic animal who had a long and successful movie career. His career took him all over the world, and gave him the opportunity to act alongside some of the biggest movie stars.
Bart was born at Baltimore Zoo in 1977 and was adopted by Doug and Lynne Seus. They trained him to in movies, and their adventures took him to the backstage of the Academy Awards.
Some of the movies he appeared in include “The Bear”, “The Great Outdoors”, “Legends of the Fall”, “The Edge”, and many more. Bart passed away in 2000, leaving behind a legacy few animals can get close to.
His training involved a reward and praise system. Very soon he was ready for his first role. As for Hopkins, he worked with Bart on two movies, Legends of the Fall and The Edge. The famous actor had the highest opinion of Bart, and considered him a colleague, not a pet animal.
Bart’s performance in The Edge was regarded as “the capstone of an illustrious career”.
