Jono Lancaster, 26, has suffered rejection and discrimination throughout his life – all because of the way it looks. Born with a rare genetic syndrome, Treacher-Collins, Jono does not have external ears or cheeks and has endured years of harassment and endless hospital appointments.
The nature of the disease means that any child Jono parents have a probability of 50 percent of the hiring of Treacher-Collins. Jono is now an important question that you want to respond – What if my baby was born like me?
The film follows Laura Jono and his girlfriend as they go on a quest to find the options available to them if they decide to start a family. Jono meets a variety of families who have faced or are facing this dilemma.
