The documentary follows the brave young women of Poland as they stand up against the oppressive sexual policies of their country’s government. With a conservative ruling party and a deeply rooted Catholic sexual morality, sex education in Poland is all but nonexistent, leaving young people unprepared for relationships and vulnerable to sexual violence. Meanwhile, the homo- and transphobic alliance “Stop Pedofilii” pushes an agenda that seeks to demonize sexuality in minors.
Against this backdrop, almost 80 municipalities and districts have declared themselves “LGBT-free zones”, creating an increasingly dangerous social climate for non-heteronormative people. The documentary shows how the women of Poland continue to fight against these oppressive policies, advocating for progressive sex education and the freedom to live openly in their home country. Through their inspiring activism, they are leading the charge for a better, more open Poland.
