Scratch

Wicky wicky wicky. We have all heard this sound effect if you have listened to music in the last 25 years. The scratching of a vinyl record is key to most all hip-hop songs. Scratch is a 2001 documentary chronicallying the lives of several famous “turntabalists” who subscribe to a sub-genre of hip hop called “turntabalism”. Several key DJs are interviewed such as DJ Qbert, DJ Shadow and the Beastie Boy’s Mix Master Mike.
