Ahmad is a former US Army translator who had to leave his family behind to escape from the IS-K terrorist group attack at Kabul airport. Now, he’s in the United States, finding his feet in the Fremont, California, an enclave of exiled Afghans near San Francisco.
Little Kabul is one of the world’s largest group of exiled Afghans that first started in the 1980s during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Ahmad is currently staying with his brother in this area and looking for a place to live and work to support himself and his family. Follow his journey as he takes his first steps in Little Kabul in this documentary by Ines Pohl and Oliver Sallet.
