In a world where industrial farming has become the norm, a group of activists in Germany are challenging the status quo. Led by animal rights advocates Julya Dünzl and Timo Geuß, they seek to transform the traditional notions of farming and create a kinder, more sustainable future for livestock.
Their journey takes them to the family farm of Matthias Obenhack, who is struggling to make ends meet with his cows and pigs no longer providing the income he needs. Fortunately, the activists have a plan. They offer to help Matthias transform his farm into a place where animals can live without serving human needs. But, can they convince him to embrace a radical new approach to farming, and what will the future hold for his livestock?
