The 1992 USA Presidential elections were unique in so many different ways. Clinton was the popular candidate, but just days before the election, a sex scandal broke through.
During the 1992 campaign, an Arkansas state government worker name Gennifer Flowers told reporters she had a long-term affair with Clinton. Bill aggressively denied the allegations, and managed to pull through with a victory.
Clinton won the popular vote, and also more delegates than his opponent, George W. Bush Senior. As of 2017, the 1992 elections remain the only one in which a president lost re-election.
