There are more than 100 habituated islands in Europe. Some of them are independent countries, others belong to a country. One of the most powerful countries in Europe, The United Kingdom, is an island. Ireland is an island as well.
Italy has two islands in the top 5 by population. Those are Sardinia and Sicily. Fun fact: Sweden has the most islands in Europe with more than 220,000 tiny and small islands. The majority of them are uninhabited.
With that in mind, this documentary takes us on a journey through some of the islands in Europe. It focuses more on the beauty and nature of the islands, and less on the administrative facts.
