A fantastic horizon (one of my favorites) is seen in research on dark matter (with a touch of comedy to it!) … We know that 4% of the universe is made. But what about the rest?
There was a time not long ago, when science seemed to understand how the universe. Everything – us, the earth, stars and even exotic sounding supernova – is made of atoms that were created at the same time zero: the Big Bang. Between atoms was nothing, a void, literally, “space”.
But recently things have started to crumble. There is apparently much more to the universe than it looks. According to best estimates, only really know what that approximately 4% of it is made.
But if only 4% is made of atoms, what about the rest? The rest is composed of mysterious entities in which poorly understood, with equally mysterious names: dark matter and dark energy.
