With more than 50 million records sold worldwide, and 15 studio albums, Megadeth are one of the few bands left from 1980s that have experienced mass success. They are part of the “big four” of trash metal, or underground metal scene alongside Anthrax, Metallica, and Slayer.
These four are often applauded for their influence and popularization of trash metal. Megadeth was formed in 1983 as an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles. The core members are Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson. Mustaine created the band shortly after his dismissal from Metallica.
The band released its debut album in 1985, and the rest is history. Five of the 15 studio albums have earned platinum certification. Megadeth has received 11 Grammy nominations.
The behind the music documentary is a combination of all Megadeth documentaries. There are a lot of videos of the band online, and this documentary combines them all into one full feature documentary.
