Jimmy’s GM Food Fight’ is a documentary film made by Jimmy Doherty, a pig farmer, one-time scientist and poster-boy for sustainable food production.
He takes the viewers on a journey across countries ranging from the vast soya plantations of Argentina to the traditional Amish farms of Pennsylvania; and from the cutting-edge technology of the GM laboratories to the banana plantations of Uganda, to find if GM crops can really stand up to the daunting task of feeding the world’s growing population or is it the harbinger of an environmental catastrophe.
