The government does not do much to prevent gangs from selling drugs. People at Jamaica know they are happy, and they are not always happy with how the media portrays them.
The Jamaican Gangs documentary was filmed several years ago, but things have not changed a lot since then. Corruption is still very high in Jamaica, and the country has actually taken a step back in recent years.
