Fun fact: the bomber is called B2 and it costs $2 billion to make it. Coincidence? Probably!
The B2 stealth bomber is the most advanced heavy penetration strategic bomber, featuring stealth technology. The bomber was designed for penetrating dense anti-aircraft defenses, and it is the only aircraft that can carry air-to-surface standoff weapons in stealth configuration.
The bomber can reach top speed of 628mph and has a range of 6,897.2 mi. The bomber was first designed in April 1997, and has since there have been a number of bombers that the US military has used for military missions.
Many believe that Americans owe much of the stealth technology to the Germans, as many of the Nazi scientists were brought over to America after the end World War II. The Operation Paper Clip was a Nazi operation with the same purpose of creating stealth technology, and the scientists in charge were allowed to continue their work in the United States.
The documentary takes a look at the origin of the B2 bomber, as well as the growth and theusage of the B2.
