HTC is still making phones as of 2021. For example, the latest, HTC Desire 20 Pro and Wildfire R70 are not flagships. They are pitched at the lower end of the market.
Google bought HTC back in 2017, and since then, the company stopped making high end phones. Google announced the completion of the $1.1 billion deal to buy a large slice of HTC’s hardware business in September 2017.
Companies like Apple and Samsung dominate the top end of the phone market nowadays. But HTC was once a popular option as well. This video shows how the company went downhill.
