The German dentist, Alexander Schafigh, sets up a pop-up dental clinic on the Greek island of Chios in order to provide free dental care to refugees fleeing their homelands. One of the refugees, Ihab, has been suffering from a toothache and has not seen a dentist for a long time. He and his cousin Awad, who have fled from the Gaza Strip, finally get an appointment with the Schafighs, who diagnose them with many cavities.
Despite the great need, the Schafighs are able to provide care to the refugees through the donations they receive, and as a result, they have gained a lot of appreciation from the refugees. Marius Reichert reports on the Schafighs’ mission to help refugees in need in his documentary.
