Base jumping, or parachuting or wingsuit flying from a fixed structure or a cliff, is one of the most dangerous recreational activities.
Base stands for four categories of fixed objects from which you can jump, and those building, antenna, span, and earth (cliff).
The statistics are scary. There are between 10 and 12 deaths for every 100 mountaineers that try to jump off of a cliff.
Death is a real possibility, and because of that many countries have outlawed the sport. Base jumping is banned and illegal in almost every American city and national park. However, there are people still trying to do. And there are also spots where it is legal.
