Star Wars is one of the most successful and popular movie franchises of all-time. Many would say that George Lucas is a movie directing genius, one that tells stories like nobody else. And he arguably saved Hollywood when he directed the first Star Wars movie.
Lucas is known for using relative unknowns in his movies. After all, Harrison Ford was nowhere near the superstar actor he is today before doing Star Wars. Mark Hamill is another perfect example.
This documentary tells the story how one of the most famous movie franchises was born. And if you thought Lucas is a movie genius and a good person, think again.
One of the reasons why Star Wars is so successful is because George was stubborn control freak who wanted to stick to his vision no matter what. Hollywood kept pressuring him into different things, but Lucas stayed true to his original vision. And that is the main reason why Star Wars is as good as it is.
