Millions of years ago, dinosaurs roamed the Earth and unleashed terror onto the planet until they died out. Most of the documentaries we see about dinosaurs is that they were mostly herbivores. But there were also carnivores.
However, what was not clear until several years ago is whether there was cannibalism among dinosaurs. And thanks to a paper published in the journal Nature, we have the answer.
The paper talks about the Majungasaurus, a dinosaur that lived in Madagascar 70 million years ago, at the end of the Cretaceous period. He was a bipedal predator with a short snout.
The Majungasaurus was a killer that at times would turn into a cannibal. He was one of the rare dinosaurs that had cannibalism preferences.
