The Escobars were living the model life: married, a house, two kids, and good jobs. But when Trump’s immigration policy took effect, José was deported to El Salvador, the very country he fled from years ago. Despite having no future there and coming to the U.S. as an undocumented minor, he had become a model citizen in America. Rose, his wife, took on the sole responsibility of providing for their children, while doing everything she can to bring José back home. Their children only get to see their dad on Skype now.
The documentary follows Rose’s journey to El Salvador to see José. After saving enough money, Rose and her family go on a journey to reunite with José. Will they succeed in bringing their deported husband and father back home? Find out in this eye-opening report by Oliver Sallet.
