In the aftermath of the invasion of Ukraine, nearly two-thirds of the country’s children have been displaced from their homes, forced to endure the loss of loved ones and the terror of living in a war zone. In this poignant and heart-wrenching documentary, we meet the children of Odesa, Kharkiv, Bucha, and Lviv, who share their stories of survival, hope, and resilience.
From the kindergartens and tent cities of central Ukraine to the bustling streets of Germany, where hundreds of thousands have fled to start a new life, this film takes us on a journey of compassion and understanding. Through the eyes of the children – Alisa, Masha, Igor, and many more – we witness the devastation of war and the immense human cost of conflict. Yet amidst the suffering and chaos, we also see the incredible strength and courage of these young survivors, and the tireless efforts of psychologists, aid workers, and doctors to support them as they rebuild their lives.
