The Amish are a group of traditionalist Christian church fellowships with Swiss German and Alsatian Anabaptist origins. They are closely relate to Mennonite churches.
When people refer to Amish, they normally refer to the Old Order Amish. They believe in one God eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
And no, they do not have a different Bible. But they do interpret the Bible literally and directly in many cases. This explains certain aspects of their lifestyle.
Known for their strict rules involving dress and behaviour, some communities even regulate hair length. Women, for example, are not allowed to get haircuts.
With that in mind, this documentary explains Amish from their point of view. It offers a rare inside view of Amish church and Amish culture.
