During the War in Afghanistan, few people could have penetrated deep into Taliban land. The War in Afghanistan is a dark spot in American diplomacy, as the Americans needed more than 10 years of war to get what they wanted in Afghanistan.
And yet, even after 10 years, it felt like a defeat for the Americans, as they were forced to leave the country and withdraw their forces. The war started after the 9/11 attacks, in which the Taliban took the blame.
Americans started a global war on terrorism, vowing to kill every terrorist out there. Regardless of the outcome of the War, this documentary takes a different approach.
Filmed by journalist Paul Refsdal, it provides the viewers with a unique access behind the Taliban lines. The viewers can see a Taliban side they haven’t seen before. It shows the determination of the Taliban forces to go the extra step so they can protect what they believe in.
At one point, the Taliban says “I will not back down, I am victorious in the battle as well as in the propaganda”.
