There have been more than 20 years since Ayrton Senna passed away after crushing his Formula One racing car at the Imola track in Italy. 30 years ago, he won his first pole position with a car featuring active suspension in the F1.
Even though he died in 1994, Ayrton is still having an influence in the F1 Championship and in Brazil, his native country. F1 drivers pay tribute to the great one. During his career, Ayrton won three Formula One World Championships in 1988, 90, and 1991. He won all of those titles driving for McLaren. He is regarded as one of the best and greatest drivers in Formula One of all time.
The documentary focuses on facts about his life, but also on what happened on that tragic day, May 1, 1994. He will be remembered by the one who said “I have no idols. I admire work, dedication and competence”. He also famously said “Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose”.
