Born in the small city of Thal in Austria, Arnold Schwarzenegger, didn’t have much when he was little. His father was a police officer, and wanted Arnold to go to the military and be happy ever after there.
But unlike other kids, Arnold was determined that he had to get out of there, and achieve success elsewhere. That determination and stubbornness, that willingness to get out of the city he lived and become famous, it is what made him successful.
In 2012, ESPN published a short video documentary of Arnold Schwarzenegger, at the time governor of California. In the video, Arnold speaks for himself, his motivation, and his story how he went from driving a tank, to literally becoming the tank.
Everything started when he saw a cover of a magazine, in which the magazine published a story of a person who “became Hercules”.
The former governor opened the magazine, and the whole plan was laid out. The blueprint was there, all that was left was for Arnold to follow the guidelines, but be determined that he won’t take any shortcuts.
The moral of the story is simple, if you can dream of something, you can achieve. Arnold managed to succeed in an era when bodybuilding was not a popular sport. Nowadays, he is known as one of the most successful actors in Hollywood, and it was all due to his physique.
