Alex Honnold is a 23-year-old climber who has taken the high-stakes sport of free solo climbing to incredible new heights. Free solo climbing is an extremely dangerous activity in which climbers ascend massive walls and sometimes entire mountains without any safety gear or ropes, with the consequence of death upon even the slightest misstep. Despite the extreme risks associated with this sport, Alex remains calm and fearless – except, that is, when it comes to girls.
Recently, Alex has set his sights on Half Dome, a 2,000 foot wall in Yosemite National Park that would be the greatest free solo ever attempted.
